Leonardo Da Vinci changed the world by showing us how to use three dimensionality in art. Painters like Picasso, Michelangelo, and Donatello saw the way that Leonardo painted and they learned from it and they started to teach themselves to paint like he did. In art classes in the high school they are now teaching how to fully render something so that it looks three dimensional. Since Leonardo started painting differently people taught themselves and now art is changed forever.
Leonardo was a scientist and inventor but he was also the best known artist in the Renaissance time period, perhaps of all time. He changed the world by showing that there was more than one way to paint things Leonardo once said "Artwork is never finished only abandoned." This quote shows that he felt incompleteness because he knows that no matter how long he works on an art piece there will always be things that he could do to make it better. When he said this it basically explained why his artwork was so good, because he never stops working on an art piece until he gets to sick of it to work on it anymore and my then they are what ordinary people think is perfect and couldn't get any better. Leonardo changed the world by showing that it was possible paint things in a third dimension.

Many other artists looked up to Leonardo as an artist because he was always one step ahead of them. The Mona Lisa is Leonardo's most famous painting and one of the most famous of all time. Other artists like Picasso and Michelangelo were inspired by Leonardo's Mona Lisa so it is the root of most other portraits in the 17th through 19th centuries. Leonardo perfected a technique in painting called sfumato. Sfumato is a technique that uses no boundaries from a dark to light area. The technique is advanced because the boundaries of objects are in your head so you imaging them and don't actually paint them. Leonardo Da Vinci used this technique when he painted the Mona Lisa. This is the way that things really are, without a definite boundary. Most people just picture a border around everything because they don't know art. This is was Leonardo's style of painting and this is how he changed the world. Because he painted with no boundaries and all other artists did. He introduced a more complex way of painting before people actually figured it out.
